Cancellation and Refunds
Without a subscription you can download two PDFs a day on each device, and up to three a week from one internet connection. A subscription costs $4.99 / month, is billed through PayPal and renews automatically every month until you cancel. You cancel in PayPal, not in our app.
How to cancel in PayPal
- Log in to your PayPal account at paypal.com.
- Click the Settings (gear) icon, then open Payments.
- Choose Manage automatic payments.
- Select ScanKit (or 62004027611 SOLE PROPRIETOR) from the list of merchants.
- Click Cancel automatic payments, then confirm.
PayPal sometimes changes its menu names, and the PayPal mobile app may lay them out differently. If you cannot find the subscription, search PayPal's help for "cancel automatic payments", or email us at [email protected] with the email address of your PayPal account and we will help.
What happens when you cancel
- Payments continue every month until you cancel. Removing the app, closing the tab or clearing your browser does not stop them.
- After you cancel, no further payments are taken.
- You keep unlimited downloads until the end of the month you have already paid for. The app shows the date as "Pro until". After that, the free allowance applies again.
- The unused part of a month is not refunded when you cancel, unless one of the cases below applies.
- Your saved templates and signatures stay in your browser on your device. We do not hold copies.
Refunds
If something has gone wrong with a charge, write to us within 7 days of it and we will review your request. Email [email protected] with your PayPal subscription ID or the email address of your PayPal account, the date and amount of the charge, and a short note on what went wrong. Approved refunds are returned to your PayPal account.
We will generally refund an accidental or duplicate charge, a renewal you forgot to cancel and have not used since, or a month in which a fault on our side stopped the service working for you. Outside those cases and the legal rights below, payments for time already provided are not refunded. Refunds are not available where we ended a subscription because of a breach of the Terms of Service or the Acceptable Use Policy.
Consumers in the EU and UK: 14-day withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you can withdraw from your subscription within 14 days of the day you first subscribed, without giving a reason. To do so, cancel the subscription in PayPal and email [email protected] within those 14 days with a clear statement that you are withdrawing, and your PayPal subscription ID or PayPal email.
We will refund your first payment within 14 days of receiving your statement, to your PayPal account. Where the law allows, we may deduct an amount in proportion to the part of the 14 days you used the subscription before you told us you were withdrawing.
You also keep your legal rights if the service is faulty or not as described. Nothing on this page reduces your rights under mandatory consumer law.
Chargebacks and PayPal disputes
Please contact us before opening a PayPal dispute or a chargeback with your bank. We can usually fix a billing problem faster directly. If a dispute is opened, we will give PayPal the information it asks for, and we may pause access for that subscription while the dispute is open. Opening a dispute does not affect your legal rights.
Price changes
If the subscription price changes, we will tell you before the new price applies to your subscription, so you can cancel first. See the Terms of Service.
